Can I share SharePoint or OneDrive data based on the name of the file? #M365AMA

“I would like to know if it is possible to make the files that I have in sharepoint or onedrive be shared to a specific user automatically depending on the name of the file, that is, if I have a file called “jhon” only Jhon can see it and do the same for thousands of files automatically, thank you very much for your help!”

  • Per Sean, the automated sharing of files based on naming conventions as described isn’t supported by SPO/M365. Custom code could be written to achieve it based on a ruleset, though.
