Event Update for H2 2022

Here we are in September, and I’m thinking to myself “There are not enough hours in the day” for everything going on. I am excited that in-person events are beginning to pick back up, and I’ll get to see more of the community over the next 3 months that I’ve seen in the past 3 years (well, almost). Looking forward to catching up with many of you, and sharing some of the exciting work going on at AvePoint and within the community. If you’re planning to attend any of the below events, please let me know as I’ll be coordinating some dinners/lunches and should have stickers and swag on-hand!

Teams 10x

Online, Sept 28
[https://teams10x.com/]

This is my 3rd (I believe) time participating in the Teams Day Online event, and for this outing I’ll be presenting a session on “10 Essentials for Effective Teams Governance” just after the Karuana Gatimu keynote on Day 1. Tons of great content in this free event, so be sure to register!

Silicon Slopes Summit

Salt Lake City, UT, Sept 29+30
[https://www.summit.siliconslopes.com/]

This local event was a massive success prior to the pandemic, with 21,000 attendees showing up in Jan 2020. Interested to see how much the event will bounce back this year. Not sure who the “big names” will be this year, but past events included Tim Cook, Steve Ballmer, Mark Zuckerberg, Dwayne Wade, Stewart Butterfield (Slack), Shantanu (Adobe), and Dan Reynolds (Imagine Dragons). My goal will be to talk with MSPs, SIs, and VARs about partnering with AvePoint.

North American Collaboration Summit

Branson, MO, Oct 12-14
[https://www.collabsummit.org/]

We’re heading back to Branson! Always an amazing community event with good friends and great dialogue. If you’re thinking about attending, you can get 25% off your ticket price by using the code “CollabTalk.” A full in-person conference pass is $200, or $500 if you participate in one of the all-day workshops, and $75 for online. For those attending in-person, I’ll also be co-presenting the ever-popular “12 Microsoft 365 Productivity Tips” with my partner-in-crime Tom Duff. Additionally, we’ll have a dedicated (free) Ignite watch party in a dedicated room, with Mark Kashman providing a special virtual keynote where he’ll go through all of the major announcements from Ignite so you won’t miss anything!

IT Nation Evolve + Connect, Nov (Orlando)

Orlando, FL, Nov 7-11
[https://www.connectwise.com/theitnation/connect-na]

This is actually 2 events in 1, with Evolve peer groups meetings Monday through Wednesday, and the main Connect event scheduled for Web through Friday. I’ll be there for the entire week, meeting with MSPs and partners.

European SharePoint, Office 365 & Azure Conference

Copenhagen, Denmark, Nov 28 – Dec 1
[https://www.sharepointeurope.com/]

One of my favorite events — and one that I have not missed since the inaugural event in Berlin back in 2011 — is returning this fall, and I am excited to once again provide an updated session on “Preparing for Microsoft Viva” and participating, once again, in the Community Reporters program. Join Dux and I in Copenhagen, and be sure to stop by the AvePoint booth to say hello!

That’s it (so far) for the latter portion of 2022, but you never know if more activities could be added. It’s all coming up incredibly fast! Hope to see you at one of them.
