Community Feedback on #MSBuild and #M365VM

With Microsoft Build going 100% digital this year, and many other annual events pushing to late 2020 or also going online, we’ve seen a major focus of content and community online — which has its pros and cons. On the pro side, we’re seeing more speakers and more topics covered in a single event, with Microsoft scheduling repeated sessions in a follow-the-sun model so that more people can participate no matter where they are located around the globe.

May 2020 #CollabTalk TweetJam on Takeaways from the M365 Virtual Marathon and #MSBuildWith this year’s SharePoint Conference in Las Vegas cancelled until 2021, the organizing team partnered with members of the community to organize a similar follow-the-sun model, offering a continuous 36 hours of content, with multiple tracks and languages supported. Hats off to the team for undertaking this gargantuan task! Between Build and the Virtual Marathon, this month is already seeing a number of major announcements and product updates, and we’d love to hear from the community on which of these you think will have the biggest impact on you, your business, and the community.

Join us for this #CollabTalk TweetJam on Friday, May 29th at 9am Pacific / 12pm Eastern as we convene to share our “Takeaways from the M365 Virtual Marathon.”  Participate in the discussion with other members of the community as we share feedback, ideas, and make predictions about what was presented at these two major events.

You can join the community discussion using Twitter and the #CollabTalk hashtag or your favorite Twitter platform. You do not need to be an “expert” to participate in the online conversation, and can ask questions, comment on the questions posed, or just “lurk” in the background. These online discussions are open to anyone — you do not have to be on the panel to participate.

This month’s tweetjam and our amazing stats are once again being sponsored by our friends at tyGraph.

If you have never participated in one of these tweetjams, it’s pretty simple: anyone can jump in and share their thoughts, or just lurk in the wings and absorb the wisdom of the crowd. Either way, it’ll be a TON of content to consume in a single hour. You can follow the live session using the Twitter UI of your choice (Twitter.com, Hootsuite, Tweetdeck, whatever). How it works is that I’ll post a series of questions every few minutes, and people will respond to Q1, Q2, Q3 and so forth with A1, A2, A3, always including the #CollabTalk hashtag with their answers. Feel free to reply as often (or as little) as you’d like, ask your own follow up questions, share relevant links, re-tweet others, and engage with the audience.

The questions we will discuss during the session include:

  1. What were the biggest announcements made during #MSBuild and the M365 Virtual Marathon (#M365VM), and why?
  2. What were the primary themes of #MSBuild and #M365VM, and were they relevant to your business?
  3. What sessions or topics do think people need to pay particular attention to, and why?
  4. Did you pay attention to partner and vendor activities or announcements, and if so, what caught your attention?
  5. What 3 features (available now, or announced) are having/will have the biggest impact in 2020, and why?
  6. If you could give one piece of advice to Microsoft leadership, what would it be?
  7. As Microsoft 365 continues to grow and expand, what can Microsoft and your local user group leaders do to support and improve the community?

As always, there will be side-questions, side-conversations, and wise-cracking throughout. This is open to the public, so please join in the discussion! The dialog is always thought-provoking and fun.
