#MVPbuzzChat with Nick Brattoli

Nick BrattoliIn Episode 5 of the #MVPbuzzChat video series, I spoke with fellow Office Servers & Services MVP Nick Brattoli (@byrdttoli), who is the Founder and Lead Consultant at Byrdttoli Enterprise Consulting LLC, and one of the community managers for the popular Collab365.community site.  Nick is a relatively new MVP, but has been in the SharePoint space for many years, and has become increasingly visible due to his role in Collab365, creating great content and videos, and helping others within the community to build out their personal and professional brands.

In this conversation, we dig into some of the issues of long-time SharePoint on-premises customers, and some of the issues with moving to the cloud — from migration planning and pilots, to the difficulties of transitioning governance and compliance processes to the cloud, and how the ways in which you do things today may not “work” in the cloud. It’s amazing that no matter how much we talk about that, companies seem to be unprepared for this transition. Nick has some great advice on auditing your systems, and how to begin planning for your move to the cloud. Good stuff.

If you’d like to learn more about Nick, you can find him everywhere on Collab365, but you can also follow him on Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
