#MVPbuzzChat with Chantal Bossé

Image result for chantal bosseIn episode 9 of #MVPbuzzChat, I spoke with Montreal-based PowerPoint MVP Chantal Bossé (@CHABOS), President of CHABOS and, as her clients refer to her, a Lead Presentation Magician.

This discussion with Chantal is a great example of the diversity of business and technical breadth and depth within the Microsoft MVP community — and why I launched this series in the first place. Many people assume that all MVPs are developers or IT Pros, and while most of them are, there are also many who have more of a business or end user background, and help provide much-needed perspectives within the community. Not that there aren’t technical MVPs who also understand and speak to the business side of things, but in my experience, it’s not the majority.

In our conversation, we spoke about the MVP program for a few minutes, sharing some of our thoughts of the experience in working with Microsoft and across the community, but then we dove into the topic that Chantal is best known for: giving great presentations. We spoke about the areas where presenters fail, and how you should stay focused and be clear on the message you are trying to convey. Some great advice, and something I am personally working on. It’s difficult when you are passionate about a technology to not get down into the weeds, and lose sight of the key message you are trying to deliver. If this sounds like you, then Chantal can help!

If you’d like to connect with Chantal directly, you can find her on Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
